Current carrying fittings

Current carrying fittings are designed for connection of two or more conductors. They are applied directly on the noninsulated conductors.
The fittings are made from the same or similar material and with corresponding physical properties of the conductor being connected, taking into consideration transmited current and mutual influence of conductor and fitting.
Specific contact resistance of the connection is smaller than specific contact resistance of the conductor that fitting is designed for.
If connecting conductors with defferent cross sections of materials, obtained dates relate to smaller cross section or to material with lower conductivity. Heating of current carrying fittings is smaller than that one of the largest conductor. When connecting conductors with diferent cross sections, lower temeprature is acceptable.
